Leadership Excellence Award

To apply for the REA Leadership Excellence Award, your application must include the following information.

Name

Major department(s) (if more than one major, which one is considered the principal major)

Class in AY 2024/25 (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior)

Leader experiences - for each leadership experience while enrolled at Rice (including experiences during the summers and both on- and off-campus) that you wish to be considered in the review process, please provide:

(1)   A brief description of what your leadership role entailed.

(2)   If you have been part of one of Rice’s leadership programs (e.g., Rice Center for Engineering Leadership, Doerr Institute for New Leaders), how did you apply what you learned from these programs?

(3)   What was your most successful accomplishment?  What was the most difficult challenge?

(4)   What did you learn from the experience that you believe will make you a better leader in the future?

(5)   If the activity is continuing, what is its future?  Do you plan to be involved in that future?  How has your leadership shaped the completion of the project or its future development?

Also include a 1-2 page curriculum vitae.
